Appliance check

Prepare disclosed appliances before the moving team arrives.

Important: Moving and delivery do not include appliance plumbing, electrical installation, repair or reconnection.

Prepare Fridges, Freezers and Other Appliances

Empty and clean fridges and freezers before moving day. Remove loose contents and make sure each appliance is ready for the agreed transport.

Remove food, liquids and loose internal contents

Prepare the Pickup and Delivery Access

Check both addresses. Parking, lifts, building entry and the complete carrying path can affect how the moving work is assessed and completed.

Parking and Truck Position

Check parking restrictions and identify a suitable legal position as close to the property as reasonably possible.

Loading Zones and Bays

Confirm whether a loading zone, loading bay or site contact must be arranged before arrival.

Lifts and Building Bookings

Book the lift where required and confirm building-management instructions, access times and loading arrangements.

Keys, Gates and Security

Have keys, gate access, security codes and authorised entry arrangements ready at both properties.

Stairs and Carrying Paths

Clear hallways, doorways, staircases and other restricted areas between each item and the truck.

Disclose long walking distances, narrow access, tight hallways, steep driveways and other access limits at collection and delivery.

Keep Children, Guests and Pets Clear of the Work Area

Arrange a clear, controlled space before loading or unloading begins. The moving team needs unobstructed access to carry items safely between the property and truck.

Arrange active supervision and keep children away from the truck, loading area and carrying paths.

Guests and Other People

Ask visitors to remain outside active work areas and allow the moving team to handle loading and unloading.

Pets

Keep pets secured, under control and preferably in a separate secure room or area away from the work.
