Removalist transport between the Sunshine Coast and Ipswich

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you move just one item?

Yes, we can move a single item when it is suitable for our team, equipment and truck. We will normally need the item type, dimensions, approximate weight, condition and photographs, together with details about stairs, lifts, doorways, hallways, parking and the complete access path at both addresses. One-item moves are assessed by handling difficulty and access, not simply by the number of items.

Are two removalists included with my move?

Our standard moving service includes a two-person removalist team. This arrangement supports coordinated lifting, loading and placement without expecting you to provide another person for physical moving assistance. We do not advertise a one-person removalist or one-man-and-van service. The exact work included will still depend on the quote and the agreed scope of your move.

What size truck will you bring?

Our standard moving setup uses a 5-ton truck with approximately 25 cubic metres of space and a tailgate lifter. The truck also carries moving blankets, tie-down straps, trolleys, four-wheel dollies, plastic wrapping and basic tools. It uses a tailgate lifter rather than a loading ramp. Truck suitability depends on the actual volume, dimensions and access requirements, so bedroom count alone cannot guarantee that everything will fit in one load.

Can you move one-bedroom or two-bedroom homes?

We can assist with many one-bedroom and two-bedroom moves, but we assess the complete contents before confirming suitability. Two properties with the same number of bedrooms can contain very different amounts of furniture, boxes, appliances, outdoor items and stored belongings. Garages, balconies, sheds, patios and storage cages should also be included in your inventory. Some moves may require additional time or another load.

Do you move apartments with stairs?

Yes, apartment and unit moves can be arranged when the items and access are suitable. Tell us about every stair flight, lift, loading bay, basement entrance, security door, corridor, parking restriction and walking distance between the truck and your unit. Building management may also require a lift reservation or approved moving window. Complete access information helps us plan the team, equipment, timing and quote correctly.

Can I request a fixed-price quote?

You may request a manually assessed fixed-price quote for any confirmed service and service area. The online form does not calculate an instant price. We review the items, photographs, addresses, route, access conditions and requested work before deciding whether fixed pricing is suitable. Some jobs may instead receive an hourly or another job-specific pricing arrangement.

How far ahead should I book?

We recommend contacting us as early as possible, particularly when you need a specific date, settlement-related timing, building access booking or packing assistance. Our website booking process requires at least 24 hours’ notice, and we do not promote same-day, emergency or instant removalist bookings. Your requested date remains subject to availability until the quote is accepted and the booking deposit has been received. See our removalist booking process for the steps from enquiry to confirmed booking and moving day.

Which moving services can I book?

We assist with small-load removals, single-item and few-item moves, furniture pickup and delivery, appliance transport, apartment moves, one-bedroom and two-bedroom moves, selected larger moves, packing, unpacking, furniture wrapping, disassembly, internal furniture relocation and labour-only moving work. We also assess suitable office, school, childcare, retirement, NDIS participant, disability equipment, hospital bed, real estate and staging furniture moves. Each service remains subject to the individual items, access and moving requirements.

Which areas do you service?

We are based in Brendale and service confirmed locations across Greater Brisbane, North Brisbane, the City of Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast. We also consider approved long-distance and regional moving enquiries. The exact addresses, travel requirements, load size and access at both ends must be reviewed before we confirm availability or provide a quote.

What if my suburb is not listed?

Contact us with your pickup and delivery suburbs or full addresses. A missing suburb on the website does not automatically mean we cannot consider the move. We will review the distance, route, load size, access and scheduling requirements before confirming whether we can assist. For longer journeys, providing both exact endpoints helps us assess the enquiry accurately.

Can you handle a long-distance move?

We can assess suitable small-load, furniture and household moves over longer distances. Long-distance quotes require a complete inventory, pickup and delivery details, access information at both ends, preferred dates and any additional stops or preparation work. The final route, travel arrangement, timing and number of loads depend on the addresses and current conditions, so we do not promise a fixed road, exact journey time or one-load completion before assessment.

Should I request a callback or fixed-price quote?

Choose the callback request when you want a simple first conversation without completing a detailed form. You will need to provide your name, phone number, location and a brief explanation of what must be moved. Choose the fixed-price quote request when you are ready to provide a complete item list, photographs, addresses, access conditions, timing and additional service requirements for manual assessment.

What information should I provide for an accurate quote?

Provide your pickup and delivery locations, preferred date or date range, complete item inventory, useful photographs and relevant item measurements. Tell us about stairs, lifts, loading bays, parking restrictions, long walking distances, sloped or steep driveways, narrow doors, tight hallways and building access rules. You should also disclose packing, wrapping, disassembly, additional stops, unusually large items and settlement-related timing. Complete information allows us to quote the known job scope more accurately.

Why should I send item photos and measurements?

Photographs help us understand the size, shape, condition and handling requirements of your furniture, appliances or equipment. Measurements help us assess whether larger items can pass through doorways, corridors, lifts, stairs and other restricted areas. Access photographs may also show parking, driveways, entrances or carrying distances that could affect the moving arrangement. Clear information reduces the risk of unexpected work, unsuitable access or an additional load.

Will I receive an instant online price?

No. Our fixed-price quote form collects the information needed for manual review, but it does not calculate or display an automatic price. We assess the known items, access, locations, route and requested work before providing a quote by phone or email. This approach allows the proposed price and moving arrangement to reflect your actual job rather than relying on a generic online estimate.

Can my fixed-price quote change after booking?

A fixed-price quote is based on the complete information and agreed scope reviewed before booking. It should not change arbitrarily when that information remains accurate and the agreed work remains unchanged. The price may need to be reviewed when items are added, addresses or stops change, access conditions differ from what was disclosed, extra packing or disassembly is requested, or other material work is added.

Can you handle a larger or full-house move?

We may accept selected larger residential and full-house moves after assessment. We will need a complete room-by-room inventory, photographs, access details and information about garages, sheds, outdoor areas and stored belongings. We consider the total volume, truck capacity, route, preparation and scheduling before confirming suitability. Sending a quote request does not guarantee that every larger move will be accepted or completed in one load.

What happens if my belongings need another trip?

Some moves may require an additional load or return trip when the total furniture volume exceeds the available truck space. We try to identify this possibility during the quote process by reviewing your complete inventory and photographs. If important items were omitted or the load is larger than described, the moving arrangement and cost may need to change. Providing complete information from the beginning helps us plan more accurately.

Can you collect furniture from a seller or retailer?

Yes, we can assess pre-booked furniture collection and delivery from private sellers, retailers, warehouses, residences, offices and other agreed collection points. We need the item details, dimensions, seller or collection contact, pickup instructions, available collection window and access conditions. The item should be confirmed as ready for collection. Assembly, disposal or removal of an old item is not automatically included unless separately agreed.

Do you move fridges, freezers, washers and dryers?

We can move suitable household appliances and whitegoods after reviewing their dimensions, weight and access. Fridges and freezers should be emptied and cleaned before moving day, while hoses, shelves and loose components should be secured appropriately. Any required plumbing or electrical disconnection must be completed before our team arrives. We provide physical moving and delivery, not appliance installation, plumbing, electrical work or repair.

Can you pack and unpack my belongings?

Packing and physical unpacking services may be arranged according to your needs. We can discuss full-house packing, selected rooms, fragile-item packing, furniture wrapping or other agreed preparation work. Packing must be requested before moving day so that the required labour, time and materials can be considered in the quote. Unpacking refers to agreed physical unpacking work and does not automatically include organising or styling your property.

Is furniture wrapping included with my move?

Moving blankets and normal moving equipment are carried with our standard setup, while plastic wrapping can also be provided. Plastic wrapping material does not have a separate material charge, but the labour time required to wrap furniture forms part of the job time or quote. Tell us before moving day which items require wrapping so the work can be assessed and allowed for properly.

Can you supply boxes and packing materials?

We can arrange boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, tape, specialist padding or other suitable materials when requested in advance. Additional packing materials are charged according to the applicable material cost at the time. You may also supply your own materials. Tell us what you need during the quote process so we can separate material requirements from packing labour and moving work.

Can you dismantle and reassemble my furniture?

Move-related disassembly and reassembly may be available for suitable beds, tables, desks, office furniture and some flat-pack items. We assess the furniture, instructions, hardware, condition and reason for dismantling before confirming the work. An item may need to be dismantled when it cannot safely pass through a doorway, stairway or lift. We do not provide general handyman work or guarantee that every item can be dismantled and rebuilt.

Can you move furniture within my property?

Yes, we can assess furniture relocation within the same property, including room-to-room moves, movement between floors, garage-to-house relocation and furniture changes connected with renovation or flooring work. Road transport may not be required for this type of job. We still need item details, stairs, access measurements and a clear internal movement path before confirming that the work is suitable.

Can I book labour-only moving help?

Two-person labour-only moving help may be available when road transport is unnecessary. This can include suitable loading, unloading or internal furniture movement for homes, offices, schools, childcare facilities, businesses and renovation-related work. The service is limited to moving-related labour. We do not advertise general casual labour, construction work, handyman services or a one-worker package.

Do you move office, school or childcare furniture?

We can assess suitable furniture and smaller moving requirements for offices, businesses, schools and childcare facilities. This may include desks, chairs, tables, shelving, storage furniture, workstations and general room furniture. Site contacts must organise access, parking, room labels and a safe work area. We provide furniture-moving work only and do not provide child supervision, IT installation or specialist education services.

Can you help with senior or retirement moves?

We can assist seniors, retirement village residents and families arranging the movement of furniture and household belongings. We aim to communicate clearly and allow the requirements to be planned carefully, including facility access, room placement and any selected packing or disassembly work. This remains a removalist service. We do not provide personal care, mobility support, nursing, supervision or passenger transport.

Do you assist NDIS participants with furniture moves?

We can assist NDIS participants with suitable furniture moves, household relocations and disability equipment deliveries by arrangement. We move belongings and equipment rather than transporting or supporting the person. Funding, invoicing or payment arrangements must be discussed and confirmed for the individual enquiry. We do not guarantee NDIS funding, plan-manager payment or approval of any moving cost.

Can you move hospital beds or disability equipment?

We may move suitable hospital beds, disability equipment and selected medical-related equipment after assessing the dimensions, weight, access, packaging and any disassembly requirements. Our role is limited to physical moving and delivery. We do not provide clinical handling, equipment calibration, medical installation, nursing assistance, ambulance services or patient transport.

Can I travel in the moving truck?

No. Customers, guests and passengers must not travel inside the moving truck. The truck is used for transporting the accepted furniture, belongings and equipment associated with the booked move. You will need to arrange your own transport between the pickup and delivery locations.

Can I help your team load or unload?

For safety and liability reasons, customers and guests should remain outside active loading and unloading areas and allow our moving team to complete the physical work. Entering the truck or helping with loading and unloading may create risks for you, the team and your property. Please keep children, visitors and other people clear of the working area while the move is underway.

Can I choose an exact arrival time?

You can request a preferred morning, afternoon, evening or flexible moving period, but we do not promise an exact arrival minute through the enquiry form. Timing can be affected by traffic, access conditions and the job scheduled before yours. We will confirm the agreed moving window or timing arrangement during the booking process and communicate relevant updates when practical.

What deposit is required to confirm my booking?

A booking deposit is required to secure your moving date or agreed slot. There is no universal deposit amount because it depends on the individual job. The required amount will be confirmed with your quote. Your enquiry, requested date or accepted quote does not become a confirmed booking until the required deposit has been received.

Can I reschedule or cancel my move?

Contact us as soon as possible when your plans change. Rescheduling may be arranged without a separate rescheduling fee, subject to availability on the replacement date. A deposit may be refundable when cancellation is requested more than 24 hours before the booking. Deposits are not normally refundable for cancellations made within 24 hours. The applicable booking and cancellation terms should be reviewed before confirmation.

When and how do I pay?

The required deposit is paid before the booking is confirmed. The remaining balance must be settled before unloading is completed at the delivery location. Confirmed payment methods include cash and EFTPOS. Any alternative payment arrangement must be discussed and approved before the move rather than assumed on moving day.

What should I prepare before moving day?

Pack and close small or loose belongings, empty drawers and cupboards, clean and empty fridges or freezers, secure fragile items and identify furniture requiring wrapping or disassembly. Measure large furniture and restricted access points, and disclose stairs, lifts, parking restrictions, driveways and long carrying distances. Keep cash, jewellery and important valuables with you rather than placing them with the general moving load.

How should I prepare televisions and fragile items?

Televisions should be packed in suitable protective packaging, preferably the original manufacturer box and inserts. Under the supplied policy, televisions are not covered unless they are packed in appropriate original manufacturer packaging. Glass, ceramics, electronics and other fragile items should also be securely packed. Tell us about delicate or unusually valuable items before booking so their suitability and preparation requirements can be assessed.

Do I need to secure pets and children?

Yes. Pets should be secured in a separate room or another safe area away from doors, pathways and the moving team. Children, guests and other people should also remain clear of active loading and unloading zones. Keeping the working area controlled helps reduce the risk of injury, distraction, open-door escapes and avoidable delays.

What insurance and liability protection applies?

Public liability insurance applies to third-party property damage subject to the applicable policy terms and exclusions. We do not describe every belonging as fully or comprehensively insured. The supplied policy includes limitations for certain valuables, fragile items, televisions, unstable furniture, artwork, antiques, electrical or mechanical faults, restricted access, weather-related damage and other circumstances. Review the full Insurance, Damage and Liability Policy before confirming your booking, and arrange separate third-party cover for items requiring specialist protection.

What should I do if I notice damage?

Photograph the condition of your furniture and belongings before the move and tell us about any existing damage. If you notice a new concern during the job, report it to the team immediately and before the team leaves the premises. The supplied policy states that claim-related concerns must be raised before departure. Keep relevant photographs, proof of value and other supporting information where a claim may need to be reviewed.

What happens if bad weather affects my move?

We review whether the work can proceed safely when rain, storms or other adverse conditions affect loading, access or the protection of belongings. Rescheduling may be recommended when the risk is unacceptable. We do not guarantee that every move will proceed in all weather, and weather-related damage is excluded under the supplied policy. Contact us promptly when severe conditions are expected.

How can I contact your team?

You can call our primary number, 0721 464 606, during our confirmed phone hours of 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can also call, send an SMS or use WhatsApp through 0481 165 430. Email enquiries can be sent to smallloadremovalist@gmail.com. For the most useful response, include your locations, preferred date and a brief description of what needs to be moved.

Can I visit your Brendale address without appointment?

Brendale is our confirmed business base, but the website does not advertise it as a public walk-in office. Please call, message or email us before planning a visit. Most moving enquiries can be handled through the callback form, fixed-price quote form or direct contact without an in-person appointment.
